Ottawa Cardiovascular Centre (OCC) clinics are seeking applications for General Internists to join our dynamic and progressive team.  We particularly welcome Internists with an interest in Cardiology or risk factor modification (hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, nephroprotection, thrombosis, vascular health, etc.).  At our clinics, we prioritize your success and work-life balance in a supportive and collegial environment in which to work, grow, and learn.

Established 35 years ago, OCC are comprehensive ambulatory cardiac and internal medicine consultation and diagnostic centres featuring accredited Independent Health Facility nuclear medicine licenses.  We offer a broad range of cardiac testing, including stress testing, echo doppler, exercise stress echo, stress nuclear, persantine and exercise stress myocardial perfusion imaging, Holter monitor, cardiac loop recording and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.  Our health care team includes Adult and Pediatric Cardiologists, nurse educators, cardiac care nurses and PAs (physician assistants).  Our catchment area extends from Alexandria to Deep River, and the Quebec border south to the St Lawrence River.  We manage over 50,000 patient interactions and provide more than 35,000 diagnostic tests per year.

Our clinics are professionally managed by a dedicated team of specialists whose main goal is to provide support in all administrative areas to allow physicians to focus on what matters most—your patients.

Requirements to join our esteemed team of physicians and allied health care professionals:

  • Independent Practice Certificate of Registration from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

  • Royal College certification in Internal Medicine (or pending certification)

  • Membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
